PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pivot hinge without a risk of making a door slip out when a shaft of the pivot hinge slips out of a bearing. SOLUTION: This pivot hinge for rotatably supporting the door is constituted so that: one end vicinity of an arm is pivoted on one surface of an installation plate by a horizontal shaft; a cylindrical body is arranged on the installation plate; the other end of the arm is connected to the shaft vertically movably arranged in the cylindrical body; a lifting means of the arm is installed on one end of the arm by penetrating the installation plate from the other surface of the installation plate; the arm is rotated by the lifting means; and the shaft in the cylindrical body is projected from the other surface side of the installation plate via the other end, and an intermediate part of the arm is provided with an operation confirming plate inserted into an installation plate through-hole formed at the installation plate when the shaft projects by a required quantity from the other surface side of the installation plate. The pivot hinge is characterized in that the operation confirming plate has a central through-hole in a central part in a state of being inserted into the installation plate through-hole, and a cap of a column body forming a flange piece locked on the lower opening edge of the installation through-hole is installed in the installation plate through-hole.
