DUAL BUTTERFLY VALVE DRIVEN BY A COMMON DRIVE MOTOR

Valve which comprises the body (1) of an intake conduit (2) with an outlet into first and second exhaust conduits (3, 4) having a first butterfly valve (5) and a second butterfly valve (15) respectively, the first butterfly valve being connected with a first gear wheel (7) linked to a driving motor (10) to be moveable in the two closed positions on both sides of an open position, the first gear being linked to a second gear wheel (17) to which a second butterfly is linked by a positive, one-way drive device (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23) when the first butterfly is moved from its open position into one of its closed positions in such a way as to make the second butterfly move from a closed position to an open position. To this effect the valve has a spring mechanism, (25) to move the second butterfly back to its closed position when the first butterfly is moved into its other closed position.
