PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device the mechanism of which is made highly reliable by increasing rigidity of a shutter mechanism for blocking entering of an erroneously inserted disk when the disk is driven in a disk device, and whose entire size is made thin by reducing strokes for driving the shutter. SOLUTION: The disk device is constituted such that a disk inserted by a plurality of arms supporting the outer peripheral edge of the disk is carried into the device by automatic loading, and the disk is carried out of the device. A pair of shutter pieces which are positioned in the center of the slot of a front bezel for inserting the disk and are away from each other at a predetermined space, and one end of which rises and falls by a turning operation around the other end, are arranged. When the disk is housed in the device, the shutter piece rises. When the disk is carried out of the device, the shutter piece falls. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
