This thrust bearing comprises an operating sleeve (A), a rolling bearing (B) attached to the sleeve (A) and the inner ring (3) of which is shaped in such a way as to act on the diaphragm (D). The inner ring comprises a radial flange (5) extending outwards in front of the transverse face (4a) of the outer ring. In order to ensure self-centring, the rolling bearing (B) is attached to the sleeve (A) via a cup (1) which clamps the rolling bearing (B) against a radial face (AR) of the sleeve via a resilient washer (2) that bears against a radial surface (12) of the cup (1). According to the invention, the resilient washer (2) has an outside diameter (d4) which at least partially extends beyond the outside diameter (d2) of the outer ring (4) and bears against the radial surface (12) of the cup (1) in an annular zone (z) at least partially situated outside the external perimeter of the outer ring (4).
