<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saltiness enhancer characterized as enhancing a feeling of saltiness of a food and drink without deteriorating the feeling of saltiness or tastiness thereof and improving the flavor according to a safe and economical method; to provide a salt-reduced food and drink enhancing the saltiness by adding the saltiness enhancer; and to provide a method for producing the salt-reduced food and drink. <P>SOLUTION: The saltiness enhancer is added to the food and drink.
