An apparatus for grinding the surface of a roll without damage to the roll due to ground chips is provided to prevent ground chips from splashing or growing in a cover by injecting mixed material toward the ground chips. An apparatus for grinding a surface of a roll without damage to the roll due to ground chips(P) comprises a grinding stone(10), a cover(20), a plurality of nozzles(30), and a mixing space. The grinding stone is rotated by a drive source(100). The cover covers the grinding stone. The nozzles are installed in the cover to inject mixed material in a direction opposite to a rotating direction of the grinding stone. The mixing space is formed in the nozzle to mix air(55b) with grinding oil(55a). |
