Disclosed is a method for processing a plastic, which comprises a step for dissolving a plastic into a solvent which is poorly soluble in water, a step for rinsing the thus-obtained plastic solution with water, and a step for hydrocracking the plastic solution after water rinsing. By this method, there can be obtained useful components such as benzenes and a cracked oil with low chlorine concentration from a waste plastic.
