<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery substantially enhancing cycle life characteristics and enhancing reliability by much producing inactive α-PbO<SB>2</SB>than β-PbO<SB>2</SB>in order to respond to request of longer charge discharge cycle life, such as periodical shallow discharge for judging deterioration of a battery for industry use of 24-hour flow charge or charge discharge of a battery for cycle for load levelling from an environmental standpoint. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of a lead-acid battery, flow current in formation of a positive plate is made 13 mA/g or less with respect to the weight of a positive active material and the amount of passing electricity at this current is made 30% or more with respect to the theoretical capacity of a positive electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
