PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission with an input shaft capable of being accurately positioned relative to a casing, thereby accurately specifying a contact position between a disc and a power roller to produce desired power transmitting efficiency and durability.
SOLUTION: In the toroidal continuously variable transmission, a bearing 100 arranged at a first end 1d of the input shaft 1 has a radial gap set to be the largest. Thus, the input shaft 1 is substantially supported at a second end 1e and a central portion excluding the first end 1d to which rotating torque is input (in this case, an output side disc 3 is positioned out by a partition wall 13 and the input shaft 1 is positioned out of the casing 50 by bearings 101, 102, 103) so that the input shaft 2 can be accurately positioned relative to the casing.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
|
