PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a space on a roof of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The air conditioner 10 for the vehicle is provided with a compressor for compressing a coolant; a condenser unit 11 provided with function for condensing/liquefying the gas coolant of high temperature and high pressure delivered from the compressor and releasing heat to air at the outside of the vehicle; an expansion valve for reduced pressure/expanding the coolant passing through the inside to make it to the coolant of low temperature/low pressure; and an evaporator unit provided with function for evaporating/vaporizing the liquid coolant of low temperature and low pressure passing through the expansion valve and taking heat from air in a cabin.
