<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for thermal welding capable of welding without a Teflon (R) tape, and to provide a manufacturing method of a battery module. <P>SOLUTION: The surface of the heater 10 of the instrument for thermal welding is worked by thermally spraying Teflon (R), a fluorine resin or the like to the surface. Both side surfaces of the heater 10 are folded. Since the surface of the heater 10 is worked, the thermal welding using the Teflon (R) tape becomes unnecessary and the working efficiency enhance.
