BROADCAST PROGRAM VIEWING INFORMATION NOTIFICATION METHOD, SYSTEM, PRESENCE SERVER, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast program during viewing on a Web site by causing a broadcast receiver to interlock with a presence server, and to provide a browser with a subject used for viewer's hobbies and diversions, chatting, or the like.

SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver transmits presence information including viewer's ID, password, and program selection information during viewing to the presence server through a communication network at predetermined timing or when the program selection information is changed. The presence server creates presence information for response based on requests from a browser's side by using the presence information obtained from the broadcast receiver, and transmits the information to browser's Web client terminal through the communication network.
