PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee a smooth and appropriate operation of an optical apparatus or the like by making a configuration compact to effectively solve the problem of dust. SOLUTION: A cleaning device for cleaning an imaging element surface in the optical apparatus includes: cleaning parts 16, 17 supported so as to be movable along the imaging element surface; and a driving part which has moving mechanisms 12, 13, 30 supporting the cleaning parts 16, 17 like cantilevers and moving them and is disposed off to one side of the imaging element.
