PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric equipment and a projector such that attachment/detachment of pluralities of air filters and covers can be detected with a simpler structure. SOLUTION: Provided are one rotary switch 13 detecting the plurality of air filters 11 and 11, and covers 10a and 10b being attached/detached, and arm parts 101a and 101b are provided to portions of the plurality of covers 10a and 10b respectively. When the plurality of covers 10a and 10b are attached, the arm parts 101a and 101b overlap and the rotary switch 13 detects the height of the overlapping arm parts 101a and 101b.
