PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for a segment, superior in cut-off properties and heat resistance, and a tunnel structure equipped with the sealant. SOLUTION: The sealant 2 for the segment, which is provided between end surfaces 1a of mutually adjacent segments 1 among a plurality of segments 1 for covering an excavated surface T1 of a tunnel T, so as to prevent the leakage of water from between the end surfaces 1a of the segments 1, is formed by mixing a water-absorbing polymer into a silicon rubber 2a. The sealant 2 is formed by providing the silicon rubber 2a in a state in which the water-absorbing polymer is mixed into a chloroprene rubber 2b and in which an outer surface of a part of the chloroprene rubber 2b is exposed to the outside.
