<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat illuminator capable of preventing an electrode film from being damaged when attaching an electrode tube to and from a socket, further reducing the contact resistance between the electrode tube and the socket, and restraining the generation of heat. <P>SOLUTION: In the flat illuminator having a linear light source and a light guide plate, the electrode of the linear light source is wrapped with upper and lower sockets comprising a semi-cylindrical contact having an inner diameter equal to the outer diameter of the electrode of the linear light source, and a fixed section. Further, the socket is fixed by a rubber tube having an inner diameter shorter than the outer diameter of the socket, thus solving the problems. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
