<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a relay station, and a receiver for estimating channels improved in a multi-hop network. <P>SOLUTION: This wireless communication system is provided with the relay station which relays signals between a transmitter (100) and the receiver (140). The wireless channels between the transmitter (100) and the receiver (140) comprise a first wireless channel (H<SB>1</SB>) between the transmitter (100) and the relay station (110), and a second wireless channel (H<SB>2</SB>) between the relay station (110) and the receiver (140). Based on estimations of the first wireless channel (H<SB>1</SB>) and the second wireless channel (H<SB>2</SB>), the method for estimating the wireless channels includes a step of estimating the wireless channels between the transmitter (100) and the receiver (140). Here, an estimation of the first wireless channel (H<SB>1</SB>) is based on pilot symbols provided by the transmitter (100), and an estimation of the second wireless channel (H<SB>2</SB>) is based on pilot symbols provided by the relay station (110). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
