PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential pulse generating apparatus capable of obtaining desired differential pulses. SOLUTION: The differential pulse generating apparatus 1 is provided with a first line 2; a second line 4 connected to a low impedance section 4a and arranged along the first line 2 near the first line 2; a first transistor 12 giving a current to the first line 2; a second transistor 14a receiving a current from the first line 2; an operating means 16 for activating either the first and second transistors 12 or 14a; a step recovery diode 18, whose cathode is connected to the first line 2 and whose anode is connected to the second line 4; and a reflection means 20 connected to the first line 2 and the second line 4 and reversing the polarity of its inputs and reflecting the reversed inputs.
