PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switching device capable of suppressing an increase in temperature of winding for excitation in energization. SOLUTION: An electromagnet device 1 comprises: winding 3 for excitation formed cylindrically; and a yoke 5 that is arranged outside the winding 3 for excitation so that it surrounds the winding 3 for excitation, and forms one portion of a magnetic circuit for passing magnetic flux generated by the winding 3 for excitation. A heat transfer member 40 for transferring heat generated by the winding 3 for excitation when energizing the winding 3 for excitation to the yoke 5 is provided between the outer-periphery surface of the winding 3 for excitation and the yoke 5, thus radiating heat generated from the winding 3 for excitation from the yoke 5 via the heat transfer member 40.
