PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which is capable of performing the most suitable cell selection processing in accordance with a situation where the mobile terminal is placed. SOLUTION: A plurality of operation modes are prepared in advance, and a user selects one of them. A user interface 11 sets an operation mode selected by the user. An application part 12 sets an application of a ringtone or the like corresponding to the set operation mode. A radio control part 13 executes cell selection processing corresponding to the set operation mode. An operation mode at the time of preceding power-off and an operation mode set after power-on are compared, and the same cell information as before is adopted in the case that the operation mode is fixed.
