PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch input more reliably by acquiring image information required for switching input between a receiver and video equipment based on communication. SOLUTION: The receiver for receiving television signals has a means for informing each piece of video equipment of a command for displaying a representative screen, and each piece of video equipment has a means to output the representative screen.
