摘要 A floating breakwater utilizing waste tires is provided to reduce cost and to utilize characteristics of tires such as non-corrosiveness, high impact resistance, and toughness. In addition, the floating breakwater reduces the intensity of wave action and the circulation of sea water with space serially formed in vertical and horizontal direction. A floating breakwater built by using waste tires is a columnar structure of tires to be floated upright in the water by arranging tire buoys(A), tires(1), and spacers(B), binding the column with rope utilizing a circular plate(C) and fastening both ends of a stay bar with bolts. The tire buoy is a tire filled with foam(2) to have buoyancy. The spacer provides seats for the tires which are supported by bars having the same length. The circular plate to be fit into the hole of a tire has 4 holes and 4 hooks for rope and one center hole for the stay bar.
