An oil tank for a sewing machine is provided to feed perfectly lubricant oil to the sewing machine regardless of the storage amount of lubricant oil, by installing an air chamber communicating with an inner space of a tank body. A ceiling cover part(7) is protruded from a ceiling wall of a tank body(2). The ceiling cover part has an air chamber(7a) communicating with an inner space(2a) of the tank body. A reflux port(8) is formed at the ceiling cover part. An eruption stopping wall(12) is installed on an inner surface of the ceiling wall, wherein the eruption stopping wall prevents lubricant oil within the tank body from erupting out of the tank body through an air hole(10).
