APPARATUS FOR REFORMING DME, FUEL CELL SYSTEM USING DME FUEL, AND METHOD FOR REFORMING DME FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reforming DME (dimethyl ether), in which the decomposition reaction of DME is restrained to restrain production of CO and to decrease concentration of CO, and to provide a fuel cell system using DME fuel and a method for reforming the DME fuel.

SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for reforming DME is provided with: a reforming catalyst unit 13 for reforming the DME 11 being raw fuel into reformed gas 12; a CO conversion unit 14 for converting the CO produced in the reforming catalyst unit 13; and a CO removal unit 17 for removing the remaining CO by a CO removal catalyst 15 to obtain fuel gas 16. A methanol-tolerant CO removal catalyst having a methanol tolerance is used as the CO removal catalyst 15 in the apparatus for reforming the DME.
