PURPOSE:To achieve a higher measuring accuracy along with an endurance of a signal processing circuit, by holding a signal processing circuit for processing a density signal obtained from a density measuring means airtight by a shielding means. CONSTITUTION:A signal processing circuit incorporated into a board 140 processes a signal obtained from a density measuring means and a position detecting means to be fed to an image recording section. A connector 144 for connection outside is connected to the input side of the board 140 through a cord 142 while a connector 148 for connection outside is connected to the output side thereof through a cord 146. In this case, the connectors 144 and 148 are mounted airtight on a side plate section of a casing 130 separately and the connectors 144 and 148 themselves are constructed in a closed manner to secure the airtightness of a chamber 136.
