As shown in the perspective view, the wind power generation device 1 of the present embodiment is provided with the water wheel type wind mill 2 and a shaft 3 rotatably supporting the wind mill 2. Both the ends of the shaft 3 are supported by supporting parts 4, and a large diameter pulley 5 is arranged at one end of the shaft 3. The surfaces A and B of the blade surfaces of the wind mill 2 are made different in resistance to airflow. That is, a groove perpendicular to airflow is provided to the surface A, and a groove in parallel with airflow is provided to the surface B. On the surface A, a small vortex is generated on its surface to increase resistance by the groove perpendicular to airflow.
