PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a player system, an amplified speaker, and a signal input/output switching method for allowing easy switch between signal input and signal output. SOLUTION: A USB host controller 43 on the amplified speaker 40 side determines whether decoded signals of a first music file or a second music file from a memory player 30 side can be decoded or not. When it is determined that the signals can be decoded, they are decoded into analog signals, amplified, and outputted. When it is determined that the signals cannot be decoded, a changeover control unit 49 on the amplified speaker 40 side switches a first signal input changeover switch 42, a second signal input changeover switch 44, and a V bus changeover switch 50 such that analog signals from the memory player 30 side are amplified and outputted.
