PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the matter of a semiconductor pumped laser module employed in an optical fiber amplifier or an optical fiber laser, that there is no fabrication process for achieving optical coupling of laser light and an optical fiber exhibiting high coupling efficiency and high yield with a small number of components by a convenient assembling procedure. SOLUTION: The semiconductor pumped laser module employed in an optical fiber amplifier or an optical fiber laser comprises a substrate for mounting a semiconductor laser element, and a substrate for holding the end of the optical fiber subjected to lens processing fixedly. Optical coupler of laser light and the optical fiber is constituted by bonding the end face of the laser element mounting substrate on the laser light exit side, and the end face of the optical fiber holding substrate on the lens processor side, thereby bonding both substrate fixedly.
