ACTUATOR AND DISPLAY DEVICE USING ACTUATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which has not a problem of a complicated manufacturing step and does not generate a problem of wear due to driving and wherein movement of a high degree of freedom is made possible and to provide a display device using its technology. SOLUTION: The actuator drives a material by arranging a material having dielectric anisotropy in a magnetic field and changing intensity and an application direction of an electric field applied to the arranged material or arranging the material having dielectric anisotropy in an electric field and changing intensity and an application direction of a magnetic field applied to the arranged material.
