PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of suitably adjusting pressing force of a transfer roll to a backup roll while suppressing increases in cost and space by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A secondary transfer roll 41 and the backup roll 25 are opposed to each other across a transfer belt 21, and the secondary transfer roll 41 is pressed by the backup roll 25 to be pressed against the transfer belt 21. Adjusting cams 82 are provided at both ends of a shaft 41a of the secondary transfer roll 41, and cam receiving plates 92 that cam surfaces 82a of the adjusting cams 82 abut against are fixed to both ends of a shaft of the backup roll 25. As the adjusting cams 82 are rotated, the secondary transfer roll 41 moves to and away from the backup roll 25, and then the inter-shaft distance between the secondary transfer roll 41 and backup roll 25 and the pressing force of the secondary transfer roll 41 to the backup roll 25 vary.
