PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip of a simple structure for controlling the hold of a liquid and its passage. SOLUTION: The microchip comprises an introduction part 11 introducing the liquid, a valve 13, and a discharge part 15 discharging the liquid. Here, the introduction part 11 includes an introduction part body 11a, an introduction part inlet 11b, and an introduction part outlet 11c. Further, the discharge part 15 comprises a first discharge flow path 15-1 and a second discharge flow path 15-2 on the downstream side. The valve 13 connects the outlet 11c and the flow path 15-1 while the surface tension of the liquid holds the liquid so that it is not discharged into the discharge part 15.
