An apparatus for displaying the receiving state of frequency is provided to allow a driver to recognize the receiving state of frequency easily by changing the color of a preset button according to the receiving state of frequency. A receiving unit(10) receives TV frequencies or radio frequencies. A micro-computer(20) sets six frequencies to six preset buttons, wherein the six frequencies have better receiving states than other frequencies when the TV frequency and radio frequencies are automatically set in a vehicle. When any frequency of the six frequencies has a different receiving state due to movement of the vehicle or topographical change, the micro-computer processes the color of the preset button corresponding to the frequency in three levels. An LED(Light Emitting Diode) driving unit(30) displays the colors of respective preset buttons according to command of the micro-computer.
