<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance sensor, a device with a built-in distance sensor, and a distance sensor facing direction adjustment method, capable of calculating automatically an adjustment quantity and adjusting its facing direction simply and easily. <P>SOLUTION: In the distance sensor facing direction adjustment method, the facing direction of the distance sensor 10 with respect to the device 20 with the built-in distance sensor is determined by observing an image of an optical axis marker on the line image sensor surface over a lens of the distance sensor 10, and actual facing direction deviation of the distance sensor 10 to a reference facing direction is quantified, and the facing direction is thereby corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
