<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reproducing a stream of a compression system with high processing load even by an arithmetic unit with low processing capability or smoothly reproducing the stream at higher frame rate by decimating a part of restoration processing in a frame where more or less deterioration of image quality occurs, however, the processing load is reduced, according to the processing capability of the arithmetic unit, and to provide a reproduction apparatus therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The reproduction apparatus is equipped with: an arithmetic processing capability judgment means 100; a stream input means 101; a captured video image/sound separation means 102: a video image restoration means 110: temporal decimation means 103 and a spatial decimation means 104 as a part of internal means of the video image restoration means; a sound restoration means 105; and a video image/sound display means 106, the spatial decimation means 104 being constituted of a one field decimation means 250 and a distortion removal means 251 in a space, thereby combination for gradually reducing the processing load in the space according to the processing capability of the arithmetic unit can be adopted and a smoother reproduction apparatus is provided by suppressing deterioration in a frame rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
