PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of securing the quantity of refrigerant oil in a compressor to prevent failure of the compressor by controlling oil returning according to installation situation and use situation. SOLUTION: The refrigerant oil in the compressor can be secured by the quantity free from failure of the compressor by controlling oil returning according to the installation situation and use situation, by performing oil returning control for collecting the refrigerant oil by adjusting an opening of an expansion valve of an indoor unit 02n while selecting simultaneous adjustment or sequential individual adjustment.
