PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color adjustment unit and a color adjustment method eliminating a color cast, without sacrificing color reproductivity to a large extent. SOLUTION: A white point in a first color gamut, a color gamut of a first image output unit, is made correspondent with a white point of a second color gamut, a color gamut of a second image output unit; and pairs of corresponding points in which other color points in the first color gamut are made correspondent with color points in the second color gamut are generated in a corresponding point pair generator 3. A corresponding point vector generator 4 generates a corresponding point vector in the color correction direction, having a color point in the first gamut in each corresponding point pair as a start point, and a color point in the second gamut as an end point. A distance weight calculator 5 generates a weight coefficient according to the distance from the color point of the first gamut for conversion to the start point of each corresponding point vector. A composition vector generator 6 composes by functioning the weight coefficient to each corresponding point vector.
