<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve obtain absorbability of gas generated by degradation of electrolytic solution at the time of storing in a high-temperature, and obtain an excellent initial efficiency, in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having open-circuit voltage per unit cell from 4.25V to 6.00V in a fully charged state. <P>SOLUTION: As a negative electrode active material using for a negative electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a carbon material including mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB), a natural graphite, and a vapor-grown carbon fiber (VGCF), is used. And also, a specific surface area by a BET method of the negative electrode active material is preferably adjusted to be 1 m<SP>2</SP>/g or more and 3 m<SP>2</SP>/g or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
