PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To observe electronically magnified video of a body to be observed in good condition by performing fine focal adjustment, even when electronically magnifying video photographed at optically large magnification further. SOLUTION: The endoscopic apparatus optically changes magnification, by moving first and second power-changing movable lenses 17a and 17b to a middle position on the point side nearest from a far point, and also electronically magnifies the optically power-changed image of the body to be observed by an electronic power change circuit 51. While the optical power change and the electronic power change are shifted by a power change switch 57, power change is performed consecutively. When electronic power change operation is performed, a third focusing movable lens 17c is operated by an auto-focus control part 44b, thereby performing focal adjustment on the point side nearest from the middle position.
