PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact polymer actuator in which unevenness in operation is eliminated while ensuring big power and high response. SOLUTION: The polymer actuator comprising an operating body 2 provided at an electrolyte portion, an operation electrode 3 for applying a voltage to the operating body, and a counter electrode 4 opposing the operating body, and driving the operating body telescopically by applying a voltage between the operation electrode and the counter electrode is further provided with a coupling portion 6 for connecting a plurality of operating bodies in series, and a pulley 7 for holding the coupling portion foldably and rotatably.
