PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a Coriolis-type mass flow rate measuring instrument for surely allowing the detection of multi-phase flows, especially two-phase flows, without having to assume the characteristics for each phase of a flow medium. SOLUTION: In the control method of the Coriolis-type mass flow rate measuring instrument that has at least one measuring tube 10 vibrated due to the flow of the medium and excitation of vibration, and uses a first indicator amount to detect the multi-phase flow, a second indicator amount, other than the first indicator amount, is used for detecting the multi-phase flow.
