PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of receiving paving materials from a dump truck even though a height from a road surface to the front edge of a paving-material charging inlet of a hopper is larger than a height up to a rear bumper of the dump truck. SOLUTION: A paving material feeder 2 has a height H1 from the road surface to the front edge 21a of the bottom surface of a front container 21, which is smaller than a height H2 from the road surface to a rear bumper 64 of the dump truck 6 thereby permitting the rear bumper 64 to enter the front container 21 beyond the front edge 21a. When a mixture is discharged to the front container 21 from a loading platform 62 of the dump truck 6 and a lifting cylinder is extended, each supporting rod 31 is rotated and a loading base 22a is raised while keeping a level state with respect to the top surface of a base body 22. When the loading base 22a is raised above a height H3 from the road surface of the front edge 11e of the charging inlet of a hopper 11 up to a depth side beyond the front edge 11e, a cylinder for dumping is extended and the front container 21 is slanted rearward, and the mixture in the front container 21 is dropped from the rear edge of the front container 21 to the inside of the hopper 11.
