PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for two-wheel vehicle in such a manner that a tread rubber is apt to be into a compressed state, and the ground contact area is decreased, and a steering stabilizing performance is decreased when a spiral belt is used, but the ground contact area is made larger by softening the compression of the tread rubber, and the steering stabilizing performance is increased. SOLUTION: The tire 10 is equipped with a bead core 20, a carcass 16, a spiral belt layer 22, the tread rubber 24A, and a plurality of small holes 26. The carcass 16 is laid across bead sections 18 into a toroid state. The spiral belt layer 22 is located on the external side in the diametrical direction of the carcass 16. The tread rubber 24A is located more external side in the diametrical direction than the spiral belt layer 22, has a thickness T of 5 to 20 mm, and forms a tread 24 which comes into contact with a road surface. The plurality of small holes 26 are provided on the tread 24, the average cross sectional area of which is 0.5 to 10 mm<SP>2</SP>, and the depth H of which is 50 to 95% of the thickness T of the tread 24. Thus, the compression of the tread rubber 24A is softened, the ground contact area becomes larger, and the steering stabilizing performance is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
