PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain both evasion of corrosion due to electrolyte solution or mixing in of impurities into electrolyte solution and enhancement of accuracy of operational pressure of a safety valve, as to one for a sealed battery. SOLUTION: The safety valve for a sealed battery is incorporated in a sealing part of the sealed battery so as to receive battery internal pressure, and uses a metallic rupture disc 35 breaking itself at a given battery internal pressure or more and releasing the internal pressure.
