PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective fence from which a snow bed can be easily scraped off to be disposed of. SOLUTION: The protective fence is formed by erecting poles 5, 5, etc. at intervals and forming protection faces 8 facing the mountain side between the poles 5, 5, etc. The upper part 5U of the poles 5 are structured to be turnable toward the lower part 5S of the poles 5 so that the protection faces 8 can be inclined toward a road 3. When a snow bed S1 is formed on the upper part of the protection faces 8, the protection faces 8 are pushed down toward the road 3 to cause the snow bed S1 to easily fall onto the road 3, where the snow is removed to ensure traffic through the road 3.
