PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel framework connection method which facilitates reception of a hollow square steel beam to a receiving member and connection between the former and the latter. SOLUTION: The steel framework connection method is composed of a fastening step and a rise portion fixing step. In the fastening step, a U-shaped receiving member 32 having a right rise portion 32c rising from a bottom 32b at an angle of 90 degrees, and a left rise portion 32d rising from the bottom 32b at an angle more than 90 degrees, is provided. Then the bottom 32b of the U-shaped receiving member 32 is fastened to a bottom surface of the hollow square steel beam 4, the right rise portion 32c of the U-shaped receiving member 32 is fastened to a right surface of the hollow square steel beam 4, and the left rise portion 32d is faced to a left surface of the hollow square steel beam 4, and fastened to the same. After carrying out the fastening step, in the rise portion fixing step, rise portion fixture is achieved along outside the connection portion between the left rise portion 32d and a side surface of a steel beam square cylinder 31.
