PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece serving as both a striking mechanism, and to provide a minute device having one barrel. SOLUTION: The timepiece comprises the minute device for driving an analog display means, a ringing train wheel for driving the striking mechanism, and a winding member disposed so that it meshes with a winding ratchet, so as to wind a barrel spring in winding. The minute device is rotated and driven by the barrel, and the barrel comprises the barrel spring, an external gear 36 meshing with the minute device, and the winding ratchet that is coaxial with the barrel. The winding ratchet is fixed to a driving arbor of the barrel and rotates and drives the ringing train wheel via an intermediate gear set. The axis A2 of the intermediate gear set is displaced from the axis A1 of the barrel, and the intermediate gear has a clicking device and releases the joint between the ringing train wheel and the winding ratchet when the barrel spring is wound.
