PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which permits an increase in compression of dust and a reduction in size of a cyclone dust collection chamber. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a suction port body 1 having a suction port, an electric blower 7 generating suction air, an air passage making the suction port 1 communicate with the electric blower 7, and a cyclone dust chamber 6 arranged in the air passage and separating dust by swirling in flowing air. The cyclone dust chamber 6 has a first suction portion 62 arranged at the upper part of the cyclone dust chamber and a second suction portion 64 arranged at the lower part of the cyclone dust chamber.
