PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive wire guide manufactured by simple working without a waste of materials. SOLUTION: A guide body 10 is formed by working on a strip consisting of two layers of hard metal and polycrystalline sintered diamond. The guide body 10 consists of a guide region 12 made of the polycrystalline sintered diamond and a supporting region 14 made of the hard metal for supporting the region 12. The guide body 10 is held by a case 16 formed of ceramic. A cap 18 formed of ceramic is provided adjacently to the guide body 10.
