<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lip 4 side tearing-off preventive structure for effectively cooperating with shaft rotation when inserting a shaft, in an oil seal 1 having a lip 4 for inserting the shaft 11. <P>SOLUTION: This oil seal is characterized by arranging a lip diametrically expanding guide structure 6 in a part contacting with the shaft 11 when inserting the shaft of the lip 4 so as not to cause tearing-off of the lip when inserting the shaft 11 while rotating. A screw 8 or a spiral groove is suitable as the lip diametrically expanding guide structure 6. Rotary motion of the inserted shaft 11 generates force in the diameter expanding direction in the lip 4 by the screw 8 or a spiral shape set on the lip tip contacting with the shaft 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
