PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire chain excellent in durability, braking performance and hill-climbing performance, in regard to a lightweight fabric tire chain easy to be stored. SOLUTION: The fabric tire chain 10 to be detachably installed in a tire is structured of a nitted good in at least a part for covering the tire tread (a net part 11a on the tread). Relation between a clearance area S of an opening size of strand of the nitted good (the nitted good part 11a on the tread) in the state that the tire chain is installed in the tire and width W of the strand of the nitted good satisfies a following relation 2≤S<SP>1/2</SP>/W≤15.
